Bio-analytical

A requisite of the analytical, biotechnology and medical markets is the need for clean, inert materials that are highly suited for static and dynamic applications. Aggressive chemistries used in the instruments and systems demand high performance elastomers which meet the stringent needs of these applications. Additionally many of the applications require compliance with the Federal Drug Administration (FDA), United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and International Standards Organization (ISO).

The latest advances in polymer technology, coupled with novel fillers and cure systems, has enabled the development of Perlast® compounds to meet a wide range of process media, active pharmaceutical ingredients and sterilization processes.

Perlast offers a range of white perfluoroelastomer grades which are FDA and USP Class VI compliant, these compounds match the mechanical performance of traditional black seals, with the added benefit of improved solvent resistance. These grades are also thermally stable at high temperatures, and ideal for use in applications that require prolonged high temperature exposure or experience Clean-in-Place (CIP), Steam-in-Place (SIP) and Stage II sterilization.
