Thermal Resistance
Perlast Ltd has expanded the scope for high temperature seals with the development of Perlast® G75B and G75H. These black and white high temperature perfluoroelastomer grades have been specifically developed for high temperature sealing and are capable of operating at temperatures up to 325°C (617°F) and 320°C (608°F) respecitvely, whilst maintaining excellent chemical resistance.
It is the superior mechanical properties of these materials which set them from other high temperature perfluoroelastomers. Having very low compression set characteristics means that they are able to retain their chemical resistance despite being mechancially stressed. This reduces the effect of stress-induced chemical attack resulting in extended seal life in high temperature sealing applications.
